Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent, relevant experience as a Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist, performing procedures in a core laboratory and general diagnostic imaging, including hospital affiliated training programs. Laboratory experience includes hematology, expanded chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, specimen collection, preparation and referral. Recent cardiology experience including ECG and Holter Monitor. The ability to effectively communicate in English. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to promote good teamwork. Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations, prioritizing workload. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable. Proficient computer skills. Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. Demonstrated desire and actions to further own knowledge relating to profession. Ability to interpret, explain and apply applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures. Receptive to new ideas and adaptable to change. An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent mobile radiography experience. Familiar with DXH 600, ACL Elite Pro, Siemens EXL 200, Clinitek Advantus. Recent experience with Muse, Agfa PACS, and Meditech.
