Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Required to take On call and live within 30 minutes of the facility when on call. Recent cardiology experience including ECG and Holter Monitor The ability to effectively communicate in English. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork, under pressure and in emergency situations Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable. Proficient computer skills. Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification Ability to adapt and be receptive to new ideas and change. Demonstrated desire and actions to further own knowledge relating to profession. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and adapt to stressful situations using tact and diplomacy. Ability to interpret, explain and apply applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience operating and troubleshooting in the past 2 years: Diagnostic Imaging- Kodak 850 CR Reader, Phillips X-ray unit and Art Plus Portable for mobile x-ray. ECG-Mac 5500. Lab- Vitros 250, ACL Elite Pro, Sysmex XN550, Clinitek Status, I-Stat, and Triage MeterPro, ID Now. Computer-Muse, Agfa PACS, and Meditech.
