Required Qualifications:

Completion of a Master of Medical Laboratory Science degree or a related scientific discipline.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Master of Science degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, chemistry or related discipline is required. A comparable combination of education and demonstrated method development experience may be considered. Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience in biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, analytical chemistry, or related discipline with extensive experience using GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and spectrophotometry. Demonstrated experience in leadership and project management, test method development and validation with mass spectrometry technologies. Experience with enzyme testing would be valuable. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. The LSII will need to be self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, planning, and decision-making skills are required. To meet project timelines, strong attention to detail as well as time management skills with the ability to prioritize work under stressful conditions are required. English fluency with exceptional verbal and written skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with computer hardware and software setup and maintenance. Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications, such as Excel. Participation in scientific publications. Previous experience in a healthcare setting and experience working with automated sample handlers.
