Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven ability to work within a computer based environment. Demonstrate proficiency in core laboratory theory including hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, and transfusion medicine dispense by applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills showing attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to organize, set priorities and multitask. Proven ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, especially troubleshooting skills Ability to facilitate change positively by encouraging others and accepting change within the workplace. Demonstrate a customer service attitude and delivery of excellent customer service by effectively meeting customer (internal and external) client needs by means of building productive and respectful customer relations and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction. Demonstrated personal leadership, regardless of role, by leading themselves through change, building positive, respectful and collaborative working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience within Calgary Rural Zone laboratory. Minimum 1 year Millennium LIS experience.
