Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent demonstrated skill in manual technique is required. The ability to recognize testing/procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve these is required. Knowledge of the Epic Beaker laboratory information system, quality system, quality control theory and application. Must have the ability to operate Windows based computer applications and work safely with chemicals and solvents.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current experience working in a Clinical Toxicology and Trace Elements laboratory is preferred, with experience in manual extractions an asset. Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting specialized equipment with methods that includes ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, GC, and HPLC is preferred.
