Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited Combined Laboratory and X Ray Technology (CLXT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X Ray Technologists (ACCLXT). Or alternatively - completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA) . Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions. Will be required to perform ECGs/Holter Monitors. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner. Communication skills both written and oral are required. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the past two years: Meditech LIS experience and knowledge. Medical Terminology and experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Current phlebotomy experience preferred. Working with; Vitros 350, Vitros ECI, Dxh600, ACL Elite Pro, ISTAT, Triage, MAC 5500, Ortho Gel method.
