Your Opportunity:
The FMC Anatomic Pathology Admin group is looking for an experienced Administrative Support II - Records Clerk to join our team on a 12-month (temp) basis! The Records Clerk handles all Pathology material tracking and storage, including long-term storage off-site at Iron Mountain. FMC and now the new Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Center, are two of our busiest sites for pathology material requests. The Records Clerk received requests for material pulls from multiple departments within the lab, including Research and Clinical Trials, Special Hematology, Molecular Pathology, and of course Anatomic Pathology. You will be working with both Epic and legacy material, blocks and slides, as well as patient reports and transient documents.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Understanding of AHS and APL retention policy and guidelines. Knowledge and experience with looking up and tracking material in Epic. Due to the high volume of requests and materials that go through the Records desk, strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required, as well as ability to prioritize and pivot. Due to the physical nature of the job and the potential need to walk between FMC McCaig tower and the storage space in the Arthur Child Cancer Center, ability to walk up to 1.6km (round-trip), and ability to push a cart, is required. Ability to lift up to 20lbs is required (approx. weight of Iron Mountain boxes with glass slides.)
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience with looking up and tracking material in Vantage, and Millennium is considered an asset. Experience, knowledgeable, or trained on consults. Previous experience in Anatomic Pathology.
