Your Opportunity:

The Anatomic Pathology department at Alberta Children's Hospital is looking for a qualified administrative support to join our team on a temporary, 9-month basis. Duties include but not limited to: receiving transport buckets and distributing new cases to pathologists; receiving and filing pathology material (blocks and slides); arranging for blocks/slides to be sent to Iron Mountain for long-term storage; receiving and completing requests for additional testing, send outs, consults, etc.; assisting secretary with preparing meeting agenda and minutes; and timekeeping.

Description:

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of office admin or healthcare admin courses or program. Previous experience in a healthcare office setting or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in clerical or administrative duties in Anatomic Pathology. Knowledge of Epic - Beaker, AP module.
