Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).
Additional Required Qualifications:2 years of secretarial or administrative support experience in a healthcare setting, including handling of confidential patient files/results. Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent customer service skills. English fluency and superior communication skills (reading, writing, verbal). Excellent typing and database entry abilities (both speed and accuracy). Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and deliver accurate work under stressful conditions. Demonstrated organizational and coordination abilities. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated qualities of self-motivation and personal initiative. Demonstrated history of personal and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years as a secretarial or administrative support experience. Experience working in a laboratory or hospital environment. Experience with timekeeping, document preparation and proofreading, meeting/event coordination and documenting meeting minutes. Experience with Epic Beaker, Netcare, and ePeople.
