Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Because this position provides support and expertise in the clerical area, at least 5 years total of administrative and/or clerical experience in an organization of significant size and complexity is required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Additional courses and/or proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) is a requirement. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of a Medical Transcription program and previous experience in medical transcription within Anatomic Pathology. Knowledge of Millennium, Vantage, InScribe, Dragon, ConnectCare/Epic are considered strong assets. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology are preferred. Additional courses in healthcare administration, effective communication, leadership or change management. Previous leadership experience, whether in a formal capacity or as part of a special project.
