Proven leadership skills including team building, conflict resolution, written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced and changing environment. If the successful candidate holds a Medical Laboratory Technologist diploma, they must maintain current good standing with the regulatory body (CMLTA). Advanced understanding of quality management systems. Solution oriented with a focus on exercising sound judgment to creatively resolve issues. Experience with laboratory safety protocols and general safe work practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience in healthcare in a management role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Demonstrated understanding of organizational strategies and proven ability to frame strategic questions and develop action plans. Experience with maintaining quality systems within a laboratory to meet accreditation requirements for the CAP, CPSA and CALA. Process improvement project experience within a healthcare setting.
