A minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare, in a supervisory role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Intermediate/advanced understanding of quality management systems. Solid understanding and involvement in the planning and validation activities related to the Epic Clinical Information system. Proven leadership skills including team building, conflict resolution, written and verbal communication and facilitation skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced and changing environment. Solution orientated with a focus on exercising sound judgement to creatively resolve issues.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must have a good understanding of quality control theory and application, and the supervising of Specimen Control. Must have the ability to listen, comprehend and orally respond to or relay information, directions or questions in person, over the phone or in writing in an accurate and clear concise manner. Candidates must be well organized, flexible and able to prioritize and work under pressure. Must possess good problem-solving skills. Computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience as a supervisor in a high-volume urban hospital lab.
