Formal education in a laboratory health care discipline (Medical Laboratory Technologist, Combined Lab/Xray Technologist, Medical Laboratory Assistant). Maintenance of regulatory certification where required by education. Intermediate LIS and Microsoft computer skills. CMLTA registration as required if engaged in the supervision of regulated members who provide professional services to the public 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Relevant experience in a health care and/or laboratory setting. Experience in a unionized setting. Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution and/or change management skills. Demonstrated engagement of team members supplemented by strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to build, foster and maintain professional relationships. Excellent organizational skills and ability to complete tasks accurately within a varied, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certification in the clinical specialty or post-secondary education in a related field. Experience in the clinical specialty of the area.
