Completion of formal education in a laboratory health care discipline. Demonstrated engagement of team members supplemented by strong communication skills, both written and verbal as well as conflict resolution and change management skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to complete tasks accurately within a varied, dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to build, foster and maintain professional relationships. A minimum of 5 years in a laboratory role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.
Additional Required Qualifications:Maintenance of regulatory certification where required by education. CMLTA registration as required if engaged in the supervision of regulated members who provide professional services to the public. Experience in a unionized setting. Intermediate Connect Care and Microsoft computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous supervisory experience within an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity is an asset. Experience in Chemistry, Hematology and Transfusion Medicine in the past 5 years. Experience in recruitment, conflict resolution and teambuilding. Recent continuing education demonstrating interest in a leadership position.
