Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:This is a working level position utilizing technical skills and judgment while performing a diverse range of diagnostic procedures and duties within the scope of practice of a Combined Laboratory/X-ray Technologist I. Current experience in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine and Specimen Procurement is required. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Requires strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility, work independently and promote good teamwork under pressure and in emergencies. Demonstrate ability to prioritize workload and adapt to stressful situations by showing initiative, good judgment and attention to detail. Practices effective infection control, and safety techniques as applicable. Proficient computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience operating and troubleshooting in the past 2 years: Working within a Healthcare setting. Connect Care LIS experience. Vitros 350/XT3400, Dxh600, ACL Elite Pro, ISTAT, Triage.
