Milk River Laboratory is located in the Milk River Health Centre and serves the town as well as its surrounding area. Milk River, Alberta is located 60 mins from Lethbridge, Alberta and 15 minutes from the Coutts, Montana border. Milk River is only a 27 minute drive from Writing on Stone Provincial Park, housing the largest concentration of petroglyphs in North America and an astonishing landscape. The Milk River Golf course offers well maintained greens, a club house and restaurant. The Milk River Health Centre is staffed with an experienced team of laboratory and x-ray professionals that offer strong patient focused service to their community. Description:
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Strong Technical skills and adaptability is imperative in this position.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent phlebotomy and rural experience are an asset.
