Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of five years’ experience in the designated laboratory division Ability to organize, and work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment. Ability to assume responsibility. Ability to represent department with a professional manner. Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and take call by responding within 30 minutes. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced and changing environment. Proven analytic and problem solving skills. Performing all required Quality Control procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Following all established policies and procedures for performing and reporting various laboratory procedures using manual and automated processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous computer experience required. Meditech experience preferred. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
