Required Qualifications:

Degree, diploma, or certification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field. CRSP designation required; if not held, candidate must be enrolled in an accredited program with a commitment to complete within 2 years. Minimum 3 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety within a large, complex organization (healthcare experience is an asset). Proven ability to plan, execute, and evaluate projects. Strong problem-solving, investigation, and conflict resolution skills. Effective team leadership with coaching and decision-making capabilities. Skilled in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication, organizational, and influencing skills. Ability to explain complex issues clearly and adapt to change.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. Strong knowledge of APL Safety practices and the client group served. Experience coaching and supporting leaders. Skilled in developing and delivering presentations to share knowledge. Experience managing both physical and human resources, including financial and statistical data. Proven ability to lead and support change initiatives. Education and experience equivalencies may be considered. Experience in laboratory or healthcare settings is an asset. Applicant must reside in Calgary.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in coordinating research projects or teams, complex data analysis and/or interpretation, evaluation methodologies, and developing formal reports. Independence and ability to implement projects on their own.
