Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Proficiency in data entry, 5500 KPH required with at least 90% accuracy; Competency in Phlebotomy; Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, satisfactory to APL valid within the last three months.
Preferred Qualifications:MLA RRL Accession experience with hospital information system, experience within last year preferred. Phlebotomy experience in a hospital, experience within the last three years preferred. Experience in neonatal skin puncture. Experience in pediatric and/or neonatal venipuncture. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Outlook Web Access. Courses or certificates in personal leadership development and in process improvement or change management.
