Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be well organized, flexible, and able to work under pressure. Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a group setting is essential. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills are required. Proven organizational, time management and sound decision making skills. Excellent computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required. Must possess the ability to promote positive working relationships both within the department and with other health care providers. Must have good performance and attendance records. Actively promotes and participates in Alberta Health Services Code of Conduct and APL Values of Kindness, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility and Accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience EPIC Beaker Laboratory Information System is preferred. Recent experience with phlebotomy, data entry, specimen processing and troubleshooting is preferred. Recent experience using Rover is preferred. Familiarity with Patient and Family Centered Care and NOD is an asset.
