Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of an Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program; or in its absence, experience will be considered. Experience performing macroscopic and microscopic urinalysis testing. Strong Phlebotomy skills. Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required. Excellent public relations and a service-oriented manner are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff, interdisciplinary team members and personnel from other departments in a fast-paced, and changing environment. Proven analytic and problem solving skills, attention to detail, logical/methodical work habits, and demonstrated ability to work independently are required. Candidate must be well organizes and flexible. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner
Preferred Qualifications:Within the past 2 years, Meditech LIS experience and knowledge is preferred and Medical Transcription in a healthcare setting is also preferred.
