Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program including a microscopic urinalysis component. Equivalencies may be considered. Cardiology training and experience including ECG’s and Holter Monitors. All blood collection procedures including: venipuncture, micro-punctures, blood culture collection as well as collections on all patient ages including newborns, pediatrics and geriatrics. Recent experience performing macroscopic and microscopic urinalysis testing.
Preferred Qualifications:2 years recent experience working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. Recent experience with MUSE and Cardioday applications. Current registration with CSMLS. Experience using Connect care/epic LIS. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and promote teamwork. Recent experience performing urinalysis using Clinitek Advantus.
