Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous technical experience with processing samples. Minimum 1 year of accessioning experience. Excellent typing and database entry abilities (both speed and accuracy). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Superior organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize work and deliver accurate work under stressful conditions. Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with handling and packaging sample for external send-out. Post-secondary education in Molecular Biology would be an asset. Experience in a Molecular or Genetics lab would be an asset. Experience with Connect Care Beaker would be an asset.
