Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external clients. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Well organized and efficient. Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Demonstrates good computer skills. A strong team player with ability to perform duties within a group or independently, Excellent time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Must have experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant I or student practical training as a Medical Laboratory Assistant within the last 2 years including experience within: Evaluation of specimen suitability for testing. Specimen acceptance. LIS data entry processes.
Preferred Qualifications:Leadership or training skills would be an asset.
