Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent and relevant experience and competency in phlebotomy techniques within the last year. Recent and relevant experience in a hospital setting within the last 2 years. Experience with EPIC. Experience with pediatric and neonatal venipuncture and/or skin puncture within the last year.
Preferred Qualifications:Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. Courses or training in process improvement or change management. Demonstrates excellent reliability, accuracy, productivity and quality of work in adherence to policies, procedures and performance standards. WHMIS, TDG certificate. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs. Courses or certificates in personal leadership development.
