Your Opportunity:
As a Laboratory Assistant I - Molecular Diagnostics you plan and organize your work responsibilities and processes to perform standard and specialized procedures. You will use your knowledge to participate in quality control functions and quality assurance activities. In addition, you ensure work processes are carried out with staff and patient safety as priority. As a laboratory assistant, you will perform a variety of specialized and/or accessioning duties in one or many of the following areas: Molecular Diagnostics, Molecular Virology, Serology, and Immunoassays.
Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:6 months recent experience in a large Microbiology laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of aseptic techniques and molecular workflow.
