As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience performing macroscopic and microscopic urinalysis testing. Strong Phlebotomy skills. Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required. Excellent public relations and a service-oriented manner are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff, interdisciplinary team members and personnel from other departments in a fast-paced and changing environment. Proven analytic and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, logical/methodical work habits, and demonstrated ability to work independently are required. Candidate must be well organized and flexible. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the past two years: Epic/Connect Care LIS experience and knowledge. Medical Terminology. Experience in Healthcare (hospital) setting. Current phlebotomy skills.
