Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of three years’ experience working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant while demonstrating competency and reliability in the activities/processes within the area of responsibility required. Experience with performing urinalysis testing, ECGs, and all blood collection procedures including venipuncture and blood culture collection as well as collections on all patient ages including newborns, pediatrics and geriatrics. Advanced computer skills including proficiency with EPIC Beaker LIS and Rovers is required. The successful candidate must be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:Effective interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills. Experience providing leadership, coaching and constructive feedback. Demonstrated ability to work independently, perform various troubleshooting, manage competing priorities and conflicts. Experience with timekeeping, payroll, and scheduling responsibilities. Working knowledge of functional areas, workflows, and processes in pre-analytics.
