Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience working as a Laboratory Assistant. Advanced user and problem-solving knowledge with Millennium LIS. Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding skill of 5500 KPH required with at least 90% accuracy. Proven proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs including Excel. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skill. Demonstrates high standard of customer service. Demonstrates ability to lead, build and promote positive working relationships and collaborative team environment. Demonstrates ability to effectively perform coaching sessions, conflict management, and apply respectful workplace policy. Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities while consistently displaying a high level of attention to details. Ability to identify problems, apply sound judgement, and proactively takes the initiative to address issues. Proven ability to be a positive change agent through change management and promote change initiatives. Ability to create and implement process improvement projects.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1-year MLA experience; experience in high volume accession department preferred. Training & competency assessment experience. Courses, certificates/training in process improvement, change management, leadership. Advanced/in depth knowledge in Microsoft Office. Previous leadership/supervisory experience. Skilled in EPIC/hospital systems. Courses/certificates in professional development & process improvement & change management. Previous experience in quality control & accreditation
