Completion of Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science.

CMLTA registration and a MLT practice permit required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory required. Proficiency with manual techniques required. Proficiency with windows-based computer applications (ex. Microsoft Office, database/spreadsheet applications) is required. Clear understanding and experience with use of statistical calculations is required with strong preference for candidates with previous experience with AnalyzeIT or EP Evaluator. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and within a team environment. The individual must be an organized, independent worker, and a strong team player committed to providing quality patient care. This position is a remote/on-site hybrid position; designated site will be a Calgary Rural/South Zone location (to be determined with final candidate).

Experience with chemistry laboratory equipment, including the development, validation, or implementation. Knowledge of operations in Central/South Zone, including geography, transportation, and site knowledge is strongly preferred. Knowledge of pre-analytical testing processes, test method/process evaluation, equipment evaluation, quality control, proficiency testing review/documentation in SoftTech, and document writing is strongly preferred.
