Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current experience (within 1-2 years) working in a Clinical Toxicology and Trace Elements laboratory and operating, maintaining and troubleshooting of above listed techniques, including ICP-MS and LC-MS/MS. Attention to detail and proficiency in manual extraction techniques is essential. The ability to recognize testing or procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve these is required. Must be able to operate various computer software programs and work safely with chemicals and solvents. Must be flexible, reliable and able to work well independently and within a team environment. Effective time management, strong organizational and communication/interpersonal skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the Beaker laboratory information system is preferred.
