Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist (CLXT) program with active or eligible registration and practice permit with the of Alberta (CMLTA) or Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist (ACCLXT) may be considered. Minimum 3 years of Technologist experience in a clinical laboratory environment within the last 10 years. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Excellent technical, analytical, problem solving and customer service skills. Valid Alberta Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience of POCT programs and instrumentation as applicable to APL and AHS. Knowledge and experience in laboratory data management, middleware, and LIS systems as applicable to APL and AHS. Recent experience in clinical laboratory instrument and/or method evaluation, validation, and implementation. Recent experience with computer applications such as SoftTech, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Recent experience and relevant participation with multidisciplinary working groups.
