Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent demonstrated skill in manual technique is required. The ability to recognize testing/procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve these is required. Must have the ability to operate Windows based computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of basic endocrinology an asset. Recent experience in manual chemistry methods including spectrophotometer, RIA, and Manual ELISA testing is preferred. Knowledge of the Epic Beaker laboratory information system, quality system, quality control theory and application. Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting specialized chemistry equipment which includes LC/MS, Cobas e801/e411, the Siemens BNII Nephelometer and Automated ELISA method is preferred.
