Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Core lab experience within the last 3 years. Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience performing phlebotomy and ECGs, working with Ortho Chemistry analyzers, ACL Elite pro, Sysmex Hematology analyzer, ID-MTS Gel, Clinitek Advantus and Meditech LIS.
