In this role, you will work to provide clinicians and patients with the information they need to get a correct diagnosis and restore, maintain, or optimize health. Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to operate technical instruments and equipment on a daily basis, assisting with equipment maintenance. Performing all required Quality Control procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Investigating and documenting Quality Control problems and following up with Charge Technologist. In addition to an attractive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable & is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous MLT experience will be preferred. Familiarity with Connect Care and Well Sky.
