Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent experience in a hospital setting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs. Working knowledge and problem solving knowledge of Cerner Millenium. Any Canadian equivalency to English 30 or 33 or CLBA score of Benchmark 8 completed within the last six months.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in an Urban RRL setting. Experience the last 3 years in Hematology, Chemistry and/or Transfusion Medicine. Working knowledge of Ortho Instrumentation. Working knowledge of the Roche Cobas Line, Sysmex 9000 or ACL TOPS. Experience with middleware on COBAS and Sysmex analyzers. Working knowledge of reading differentials and troubleshooting current instrumentation. Promotes a team environment and respectful workplace. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
