Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

RRL experience in the last 3 years. Working knowledge of Millennium & Microsoft Office. Proficiency in reading manual differentials. Effective verbal & written communication skills. Demonstrates a high standard of customer service by assessing and meeting the needs of internal & external stakeholders. Maintains a professional image & positive attitude while promoting an inclusive, positive, & respectful work environment at all times. Ability to build positive working relationships & work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Shown recent personal & professional development initiatives that contribute to team productivity and success. Demonstrates personal leadership through change and promotes change initiatives. Ability to meet deadlines & benchmarks while consistently displaying a high level of attention to detail. Ability to identify problems, apply sound judgement, & proactively takes the initiative to address issues. Receptive to feedback &/or coaching, displays accountability for own actions, & learns from mistakes. Demonstrates ability to effectively apply Respectful Workplace Policy while maintaining positive work relationships. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure the privacy & safety of customers, co-workers, and self. Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years’ experience with operation/maintenance/troubleshooting current instrumentation/middleware in Hematology, Chemistry, & TM within 5 years. Recent experience & competency on multiple benches, departments, & shifts; performing all applicable workflows/tasks /duties relevant to respective shifts. Experience with bone marrow collections, Preceptor/Training, GeneXpert and/or Beaker/WellSky. Courses/certificates in personal leadership, process improvement, and/or change management.
