Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions. Will be required to perform ECGs/Holter Monitors. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner. Current MLT or CLXT registration required.
Preferred Qualifications:Laboratory experience within the last two years is ideal. Experience working with the Vitros 350, Vitros ECI, Vitros XT3400, Dxh600, ACL Elite Pro, ISTAT, Triage, MAC 5500 or MacVu360 preferred. Current phlebotomy experience is preferred. Vegreville will implement EPIC LIS in Launch 6 (May 2023), but currently using Meditech-experience in either preferred.
