Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of Technologist experience in a clinical laboratory environment within the last 10 years. Experience with clinical laboratory instrument or method validation and implementation. Experience with the following computer applications: SoftTech, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Valid Alberta driverβs license. Completion of an accredited Combined Lab and X-Ray Technologist (CLXT) program with eligibility or active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Combined Lab and X-Ray Technologists will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience with POCT, AegisPOC middleware, and Connect Care/Epic in the APL/AHS setting. Knowledge and experience with POCT devices such as Radiometer ABL blood gas analyzers, Abbott i-STAT and Roche Accu-Chek Inform II glucose meters. A formal Certificate or training in Quality Management Systems (QMS), experience with the development and application of a QMS.
