Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The ability to recognize testing/procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve these is required. Knowledge of the Epic Beaker laboratory information system, quality system, quality control theory and application. Must have the ability to operate Windows based computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience with EPIC and Wellsky LIS systems. Recent experience in chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine. Demonstration of excellent problem solving, decision making, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Work experience with Sysmex XN, Cellavision, ACL Top350, Roche Cobas Pro, Clinitek Advantus, Ortho Vision Swift, and other core laboratory equipment.
