Laboratory Technologist I

Alberta Precision Labs (APL) has a rewarding opportunity for a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Here you will perform all aspects of specimen preparation and testing. Additional duties include quality control, equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, student teaching, patient records management and computer functions. You understand and maintain a working knowledge of analytics techniques and demonstrate excellent problem solving, decision making and trouble-shooting skills. This role will provide you the opportunity to utilize your understanding of quality control theory and application, and operating, maintaining and troubleshooting hematology, coagulation and chemistry analyzers. This is a fast-paced role where you will get to utilize your organization and time management skills. Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
