The Core Lab department at the APL Edmonton Base Lab consists of distinct testing areas for Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis. In Core Lab Chemistry you will experience a high volume, well organized and efficient environment with strict quality control guidelines in place. Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience within the past 12 months working as a medical laboratory technologist in clinical chemistry, or student experience within the past 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with the following instrumentation or testing is an asset: Siemens Atellica SCI and Aptio track system. Experience with the following instrumentation or testing is an asset: Roche Cobas 8000 or Roche Cobas e801. Experience with the following instrumentation or testing is an asset: Roche Cobas c513 (hemoglobin A1c testing).
