Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Proven ability to work within a computer based environment. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff, interdisciplinary team members and personnel from other departments in a fast pace changing environment. Ability to work independently when necessary. Proven ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills Ability to facilitate change positively by encouraging others and accepting change within the workplace. Demonstrate a customer service attitude and delivery of excellent customer service by effectively meeting customer (internal and external) client needs by means of building productive and respectful customer relations and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction. Demonstrated personal leadership, regardless of role, by leading themselves through change, building positive, respectful and collaborative working relationships. Current BCLS-HCP certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience within Calgary Rural Zone. Millennium RIS/LIS experience.
