Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience as a Laboratory Technologist in Core Chemistry is required. Recent experience in a high-volume chemistry setting an asset. Recent experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting high volume chemistry equipment which includes Cobas Pro, DxI 800, ABL 90 Flex Plus, Osmometer, 6890 Gas Chromatograph, Clarus 580 and Dual column Headspace GC, Automation Line, Cobas c501, Delfia Xpress is preferred. Experience with Epic Beaker.
Preferred Qualifications:The ability to recognize testing/procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve these is strongly preferred. Knowledge of the quality system, quality control theory and application. Must have the ability to operate Windows based computer applications. Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. The successful candidate must be adaptable and flexible within an environment.
