Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:This is a supervisory level CLXT/MLT position utilizing technical skills and judgment performing a diverse range of diagnostic procedures. within the Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Specimen Procurement departments. Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required. Must be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Completion of leadership courses, including effective team building and conflict resolution. Experience with development and supervision of effective teams. Experience working with the Vitros 350, Vitros XT3400, Dxh600, ACL Elite Pro, ISTAT, Triage, MAC 5500 or MacVu360. Current phlebotomy experience. Vegreville will implement EPIC LIS in Launch 6 (May 2023), but currently using Meditech LIS-experience.
