Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as an MLT in a clinical laboratory setting within the last five (5) years. Minimum one (1) year experience in the development, review, and revision of, procedures, or forms. Recent (within the last 5 years) experience participating in accreditation preparation activities and post-assessment corrective actions to ensure compliance with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) standards for Diagnostic Laboratory Accreditation. Recent (within the last 5 years) experience facilitating meetings and engaging with stakeholders internal and external to APL. Recent (within the last 5 years) experience leading or participating in process improvement projects. Recent (within the last 5 years) change management and project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent (within the last 5 years) experience in a microbiology or public health lab. Knowledge of College of American Pathologists (CAP) standards. Quality Management System Certificate or equivalent post-secondary education in QMS. Formal certificate Process Improvement (e.g. AIW Green Belt). Formal certificate in Change Management (e.g. ProSCI certification). Formal certificate in Project Management.
