Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an approved school of Medical Laboratory Technology or Science required. Current registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA) or as applicable, with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory & XRay Technologists (ACCLXT). A minimum of 5 years current Laboratory experience is required. Current and regular use of Epic, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office is required. Occasional travel will be required for on-site support during implementation & go live periods. Work will primarily be conducted remotely. Strong verbal communication, public speaking, listening skills, team player, interpersonal & leadership skills. Ability to learn new material quickly & adapt to change. Comfort with technology and the ability to quickly master new software programs. Ability to build rapport, prioritize, critically think & solve problems quickly and efficiently. Ability to be patient and calm when faced with multiple distractions or problems that arise. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to promote the change process in a positive manner. Experience and comfort in problem solving and conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a Lab Information Specialist (Business Analyst) role is an asset. Recent experience in leading/supervising/facilitating projects or implementation activities is an asset. Experience in the following areas is an asset: Oversight of lab instrument validation testing and cutover processes. Oversight of lab middleware testing. Oversight of third party application lab testing. Experience in liaising with stakeholders to gather information and move projects forward.
