Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Three to five years laboratory experience (within the last 5 years) in a mid-complexity laboratory setting. Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta Standards for Diagnostic Laboratory Accreditation and knowledge of the steps a laboratory must take to ensure they are compliant with standards and prepared for an accreditation assessment. Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and the Quality System Essentials. Demonstrated and current abilities in the development, review and revision of policies, processes and procedures and working knowledge of the document management system (SoftTech). Demonstrated experience in leading and participating in project management, change management and process improvement projects. Excellent communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations. Proven time management skills. Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated organizational, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills. Attainment of a Quality Management System Certificate or equivalent post-secondary education in Quality Management Systems, or knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
