Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years in a clinical laboratory role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Progressive leadership experience in the clinical laboratory, including 2-3 years' experience in a management role in laboratory operations. Intermediate/advanced understanding of quality management systems. Proven leadership skills including team building, conflict resolution, written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced and changing environment. Solution oriented with a focus on exercising sound judgment to creatively resolve issues. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Relevant University degree or Advanced Registered Technologist (ART) designation


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage short- and long-term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees, and other partners.
