Master of Science Degree specializing in Pathologists' Assistant. Current certification, or eligibility for certification, as a full-scope Pathologists' Assistant with the Canadian Certification Council of Pathologists' Assistants (CCCPA-CCCAP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the ability to accurately and clearly dictate a description of biopsy or surgical specimens, including CPL levels 5 and 6. Attention to detail, proficiency, aptitude and precision in grossing techniques are required. The ability to recognize testing/procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve or assist with resolution of problems is required. The successful candidate must have the ability to operate Windows based computer applications. Excellent English language skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and within a team environment. The successful candidate should have the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy items, and move heavy loads.
